& Camping at Silver Birches
Where a
warm welcome awaits you, set on manicured
lawns, ornamental trees, hedging, shrubs and colourful flowers
create a delightful haven, but the most striking aspect of the site
are the views of the humber bridge. From the nearby claypits there
are view points to admire the feat of engineering, and the new
humber bridge visitor centre with awe inspiring detail, is within a
short walk. But
the park has more to offer, with the historic town of
Barton-upon-Humber a short level walk away with sailing, windsurfing
and Pastures fishery a sports centre and pool, golf at
Normanby Hall (10 miles), Hull, famous for
shipping & 'The Deep' a short drive away, and the cities of
York, Leeds, Lincoln, Doncaster and Scunthorpe easily accessible,
with the bus stop and train station only a five minute walk from the
park. You
may decide that the sites close proximity to the A15 junction makes
the site an ideal stopover for the night on the east coast route, or
it may be it's convenience to Hull's ferry port (12m) or Humberside
airport that attracts, but it also makes a great choice for a longer
break and is an ideal base for families with children with the east
coast beaches close by including Skegness, Cleethorpes and Bridlington. Silver
Birches has a 3 star tourist board rating. Links |
